Silverhall’s research identified suburbs in the Springfield Catchment Area as ‘ideally positioned for strong capital growth’. As a result, we have been bullish about buying investment properties in this area. Latest Government figures continue to support our position. Ipswich City Council’s September Quarter Development Activity Report (the final planning report for 2017) demonstrates the growth and development of the area are not just on track but will continue for years to come. According to Council's Report, the population grew to 206,344 an equivalent annual population growth rate of 4.59 percent.
The report notes Redbank Plains was again the fastest growing suburb. The report also highlighted that about 21,271sqm of new, non-residential building floor space was approved with the ability to accommodate 393 new jobs. The Planning Committee Chairman Cr David Morrison told the QLD Times: “It was a brilliant end to a year of huge growth for the city. It is not just residential growth; it is economic growth as well, the city is sitting in a very good position going into 2018. There seems to be a hum of confidence out there in the community. When you have got big anchor companies investing in the area people sit up and take notice." said Cr Morrison.
The Council’s positive attitude towards economic growth has been successful in attracting investment into the region. The resultant job creation has lead to employment driven population growth in the area. Such population growth ideally positions Springfield Catchment Area for strong Capital Growth.
