Additional Western Sydney investment and infrastructure improvements, combined with the projected population and job growth of the region over the next 5-10 years, strongly support Silverhall’s property investment strategy.

More than $23 million will be allocated in next week’s state Budget to give Western Sydney families more facilities to work and play.

Western Sydney Parklands will get $23.2 million in the state Budget — $4 million towards the development of Bungarribee Park, $13.8 million for the Horsley Drive Business Hub and $2.7 million for the Eastern Creek Business Hub.

The remainder of the cash splash will go towards a multipurpose pathway, track upgrades, new signs and facilities.

The Parklands, 5280ha and 16 times the size of Centennial Park, stretch from Blacktown to Leppington. The Budget announcement is another win for the Daily Telegraph’s Fair Go For the West campaign, which urged state and federal governments to give Western Sydney residents better infrastructure, amenities and services.

Environment Minister Rob Stokes said the funding would create more than 11,000 new jobs, and improve public space in the west. “The park is already creating local construction jobs, and the money generated will fund bushland restoration, recreation opportunities and urban farming spaces,” Mr Stokes said.

“The population of Western Sydney is set to top three million in coming years and Bungarribee Super Park will be at the centre of providing leisure facilities for local families.”

The construction of the entry to the park, internal roads and parking will start in September, and the super park is slated for completion in 2019.

The park will also receive a tourism attraction, with 20ha set aside for either a zoo, live performance venue, or amphitheatres.

The winning bid for the tourism attraction will be announced within the next six months.

During The Telegraph’s 57-day Fair Go campaign, the government made a $6.5 billion road and rail commitment for Western Sydney airport infrastructure and put aside $10 million for a feasibility study into the Parramatta Light Rail.

The government also committed to relocating 3000 bureaucrats to the west, creating a rail orbital corridor and boosting bed numbers at Blacktown, Campbelltown and Nepean hospitals. Premier Mike Baird has also committed to creating 1000 new apprenticeships.
